Friends United's both XI started the season with a win for the first time.
Friends United 1st XI defeated returning Division 1 side Anson by 4 wickets with strong bowling performance from all the bowlers. Nishal Mohane was start of the bowling with 3/23 in 7 overs, backed up by Bharat Damania and Nitin Himarcumar. Nirmal Ramgi led the batting line up well along with Laxmikant Narane and Kirit Mohane to setup platform to chase down the score of 149, which team duly completed in 33rd over. Next up is multi times champions Bharat Olympians Away.
Friends United 2nd XI beging their season well with new leaders Jayesh and Suryakant. The slumped to 90/5 in 20 overs but excellent 38 from Shudhir Vinodkumar and superb 65 runs from Santosh Vinodkumar meant they able to post 202 all out. In reply Friends United 2nds bowling proved too much for SKLPC as they bowled them out for 92 in 28 overs to win by 110 runs. Next up for Friends United 2nds is Stallions II at home.
