Match report Friends United 1st underwhelming our last few weeks came into this match with tail between their leg.

NLM won the toss and choose to bat on a beautiful pitch. But Friends United's bowling unit soon clicked into action and Shudhir nipped out all 3 top-order batsmen to put them under pressure. But excellent batting in middle by Suffiyan Data and Haroon Alibhai snatched some initiative back in favour of the home team. But Dixit Ramgi (who has not bowled for 3 weekends due to the excellent form of fast bowlers) soon came to the party and took 6 wickets to keep NLM to 187 all out in 48.3 overs and set up a challenging chase for Friends United ably supported by excellent catches by Nirmal, Sudhir and Dharmesh - who was really live wire in the field.

Friends United started the chase on a bad note as they lost Narendra who has been in great form for 2nd XI with the team total on 0 but from there on some stupendous batting by captain Jigar and Jayesh at number 3 put Friends United in a great position. They blend aggressive stroke play with caution to put on 93 runs partnership when Jayesh lost concentration soon after getting to his 50 and lost his wicket. Jigar was joined by Amit Mangi and they started hitting the ball on all part of the ground and especially through covers and took the score to 138 when Jigar after getting to his 50 lost his off stump to an excellent delivery from evergreen Zubair. But then on Amit (who scored an excellent 60 not out) and Nirmal Ramgi 17 not out finished the chase.
