Match report Friends United CC 2nd XI arrived at Vale Farm with high spirit with their narrow win over Stallions 2nd XI on opening weekend. They won the toss and decided to bowl 1st but initially decision looked to bad as United Sports 2nd XI opening pair raced to 50 in 9 overs and total of well over 200 looked likely. But bowling change by FUCC done the trick with Dhaval Prakash bowling 4 maidens to apply breaks as well as taking crucial wickets, with man of the match Dinesh Carsane bowling his variety of spins took 4 wickets with some excellent work in the field meant United Sports 2nd XI were bowled out for 103 in 28 overs.

In reply Friends United 2nd XI started cautiously with 14 runs in 4 overs but then 3 wickets in 5th over changed the game in favour of United Sports. Rahul and Shabbir had good partnership with Shabbir playing senior role well with mix of aggression and defence. After fall of Rahul, new youngster Upen Ukarda provided good support to Shabbir to take game close but at the end it was not enough and Friends United fell short by 8 runs.
