Match report The weather wasn't looking great for the match to go ahead on Sunday however we were lucky the rain stayed away to have a game. FUCC 2nd XI won the toss led by Piyush who elected to bowl first.

Nikhil and Hemal opened the bowling from each end. It wasn't a great start for FUCC as West Harrow opening batsmen Humayun was given two chances from a dropped catch and he scored quick 14 runs in one over. The first wicket fell at 27 runs by a brilliant catch from the skipper Piyush at short mid-off which of Amit from Hemal's bowling and with that Friends United start applying the necessary pressure to dry up the runs.

Huma who was looking on form with his big hits was shortly run out by an excellent throw from Ashish at long-off. Then first change Kalpesh took 2 quick wickets in his overs back to back followed by an amazing bowling spell from Nimesh Samgi who was promoted from the thirds. He went on bowl 7 overs and picking up 3 quick wickets in succession in the third over (triple-wicket maiden) and only giving 9 runs which changed the game in FUCC favour restricting West Harrow to a total of 100 runs.

FUCC were confident going into the chase to continue their winning run. Jayesh and Piyush opened the batting however Piyush got an unlucky inside edge from the toe of the bat which clipped the stumps. Hash was quick to return to the Pavillion as he edged the ball to first slip. Ashish, who came in at number 4, showed some great batting as he supported Jayesh on the field. There were boundaries in every over both of these were power hitters. Jayesh showed patience out there and West Harrow was struggling to get his wicket and kept changing between bowlers. West Harrow then had a 7th bowler, their youngster, Ved, who showed some brilliant defensive shots when he came to bat. This leg spinner tossed a ball into the air luring Jayesh to play on the leg side which he missed and the ball turned and hit his leg stump. FUCC batting lineup started to lose focus with only 39 runs to win as they lost 3 more wickets quickly to the spinners Humayu and Ved who went on to take wickets in total. Ashish was bowled similarly to Jayesh by the super spinner Ved which meant Nikhil went out to bat at number 7 with somewhat pressure on him. Nikhil showed patience with his batting by blocking and respecting the good balls and putting away the bad balls to the boundary taking FUCC across the line to their victory. Friends United won the game by 3 wickets.
