Match report On an overcast condition day with the damp pitch due to overnight rain, friends united won a valuable toss and didn’t hesitate to bowl first. West Ends opener Kulwinder Singh was in full flow and scored runs very quickly, thanks to few dropped catches he took the score quickly past 50 with only one wicket down. Friends United star player (Apoorva) took the matter into his own hands and came on to bowl some off-spin. Apoorva started to tumble the batsman from one end while the other bowler made sure that the scoring was restricted from the other end. The pressure was building up on Kulwinder Singh as he started to play few rash shots but after few more drop chances, He finally lost his composer and nicked one to the keeper from the bowling of Apoorva who ended with figures of 5-29 in 8 overs, his best figures for the Club. Captain Nitin made sure that the tail was quickly wrapped up and ended with 4-23 in 7 overs. West End’s Innings ended at 114 in 29.3 overs.

Friends United innings did not get off to a flyer as they lost both openers for only 3 runs in just 3 overs. Krupesh Bala at 3 and Apoorva Wankade at 4 steadied the innings with quick running between the wickets and few lavishing shots. Apoorva’s quick 45 runs from 42 balls got the team in a stable situation but a great catch on the line by Vikram ended another excellent inning from Apoorva. Krupesh made sure that run-scoring didn’t slow down and was well accompanied by Nirmal Ramji who made sure that friends united got close to the line before getting bowled from a delivery that really misbehaved from the pitch. Krupesh, who was really short on runs before the match, made sure that he was there till the end and show the team home with 41* runs.
