Match report Friends United came into the game with high spirit even after back to back losses in the last two games and the positive energy would hold them in good stead as the game progressed.

Actonians CC started the match with the bat on a wet wicket with overcast conditions which Friends United were able to exploit. Snehal who opened the bowling for Friends United was able to make early inroad to account for the opener with a help of a great catch by Jatin. Actonian was then able to absorb the pressure momentarily but could not find a way to keep the scoreboard ticking and accurate bowling from Snehal gave way to his second wicket of the day. While Bobby continued to look solid at the other end, Friends United started chipping away at the wickets with Bankish bowling an outstanding spell in the middle overs to take a 4-for that included the well-set opener, Bobby. Bankish was well supported by Ankit who took an important wicket of Actoniains CC number 4 and Nirmal was able to take a single wicket late in the innings. Actonians CC was able to set a challenging total of 136/8 in their 50 overs.

Friends united started the chase nervously as Adam for Actoniain CC was able to run through the top order with 4 early wickets and Malhotra with a single wicket meant Friends United were 5 down in no time. Then came an inning from Viraj that changed the game on its head. It started off with Dilpesh and Viraj counter-attacking with a couple of quick boundaries, but even with Dilpesh wicket shortly after, Viraj continued the momentum with shots all around the ground. Viraj seem unfazed by the difficult nature of the wicket and was able to find regularly boundaries. Snehal was able to provide great support at the other end and together they were able to take Friend United home in 32 overs.
