Friends United Cricket Club Lost by 77 runs

Match report With rain from the day before and light showers in the morning, there was an overcast condition for Saturday Match however the pitch wasn't too bad for the game to carry on. Friends United won the toss and elected to bowl first.

FUCC having won their last game against NLM opened the bowling well with Shudhir striking first at the stumps to bowl out the Swaran. Perivale batting lineup was struggling to get the scoreboard ticking which allowed Mahesh to come in at second change and pick up 3 quick wickets. There on FUCC struggled to get wickets with the luck of some close calls going in visitor favour. There was some good batting from captain Arshad Khan who top-scored with 42 runs before giving a catch to Shudhir in Nirmal's bowling. Nirmal was the pick of bowlers by taking 4/20 to close out the PPCC inning.

Friends United had a good condition to chase the score with pitch drying up slightly. Jayesh and Jigar opened the batting in a positive manner as they blocked out the good balls however it was soon over for Jayesh as the frustration of the scoreboard not ticking got to him and lost his wicket. Jigar shortly followed Jayesh as he edged one to the keeper. Nirmal came into bat at number 3 and soon ran out as he took a risky third run but couldn't make it to the non-striker end in time. There was hope for Friends United as Dharmesh was playing some good shots and taking singles and doubles with Shudhir who supported him well. With some brilliant bowling, same line and length from Swaran Tatla, FUCC batting had collapsed as they threw their wickets away and getting all out for 79 runs. Swaran Tatla went onto take 4 wickets in his spell of 13.3 overs and only conceding 27 runs.
