Match report Friends United won the toss and decided to bowl under a cloudy sky against a full strength United Sports team, who will be playing in Division 1 this season. They begin well by taking wicket of opener Jignesh but then own despite some good bowling United Sports made a steady progress. Skipper gave bowling practice to 9 bowlers in total to make sure they have some overs under their belt before season begins. Due to some dropped catches United Sports managed to post 213/9 in 40 overs. Ravi top scored with 64 runs. Nishal Mohane was pick of the bowler for Friends United with 2/18 in 5 overs.

In reply Friends United missing 4 first team players, started well with 2 fours in 2nd over but then Ravi with his short pitch bowling took 3 quick wickets to leave Friends United reeling at 21/3 and it soon become 32/4. Then on Piyush and Sudhir tried to rebuild the inning and took score to 70 when Sudhir lost his wicket. Then Akram took 3 wickets in 5 balls to reduce the inning to 89/8. Nishal Mohane playing his first match for the club had good partnership with Piyush and took score to 130 in 38th over when Piyush lost his wicket. Friends United finished on 136 all out in 40th over.
