After suffering defeat in their previous league game against table toppers Diu Daredevils, Friends United managed to get their league campaign on track as their defeated a good United Sports side, who were playing Division 1 last season. Friends United captain Yogesh Nagpal won the toss under bright sky and choose to bowl and use strong bowling unit.

Ramji Bagoane who is returning from his long injury lay off started very well as he took wicket of dangerous Fahim who has been in runs this season for 0 and then run out Rishi Batra from a straight throw from fine leg boundary with good work from keeper Nirmal. Ramji bowled a superb spell of 2/19 in 7 overs. But real star was Imran Mohammed as he bowled a very good line and length to take 3 wickets for 17 runs in 6 overs and took a blinder at short fine leg. Captain Yogesh then took3 wickets to finish off the inning as United Sports could only score 84 all out as they struggled for runs on unpredictable pitch.

In reply Friends United started with quick runs but then Nirmal Ramgi lost his wicket to inswinger. Dilesh Narotam and Jigar Vassantlal then scored some quick runs but Dilesh lost his wicket in order to up the ante. Ramesh Magan and Jigar then tried to consolidate the inning against some really good bowling by United Sports spinners. They both lost their wickets in quick succession. Piyush Vanraj and Kirit Mohane then finished off the game in 5 overs as they hit required 16 runs to complete the win and claim 20 points. Friends United won by 6 wickets.
