Match report Scores & Result: Friends United CC: 206/7 in 40 overs beat Lohana CC 186 all out in 39.4 overs by 20 runs.

On bright and sunny day Friends United captain Piyush Vanraj won the toss and decided to bat first on a dry surface. Piyush Vanraj (24 runs) and Nirmal Ramgi (54 runs) put on 81 for the first wicket as both opener got into good form. Nirmal Ramgi lost his wicket in 15th over but Ramesh Magan (45 runs) who has been getting in good form carried on scoring excellent runs. But Lohana’ s man at the moment, Mehul Gokani bowled superb spell of 3/11 in 8 overs to take 3 quick wickets as well as keeping run rate down. But excellent 50 run partnership between Jigar Vassantlal (39 runs not out) and Ramesh Magan took the score to 185 and some late hitting in last over from Nikhil took the score to 206/7 in 40 overs.

In reply Lohana lost quick wicket as Ramesh Magan bowled a superb first over to knock their opener Rahul Patel. Mehul Gokani came at no 3 and he was in super touch as they started scoring some quick runs. But a super catch at mid-on by Sejil Ramniclal and some excellent blowing meant Lohana were 113-5 after 21 overs. Mehul Gokani kept on scoring from other end as he passed fifty, but captain Piyush Vanraj decided to bring on spinner Sejil Ramniclal and that changed the game as he took 3 wickets in 2 overs to turn the match in favour of Friends United. But Mehul Gokani kept the scoring going by hitting some big shots from other end and scored his 100 in process as well, but Sejil took the last wicket in 40th over to win the game for Friends United. Sejil finished with 4/13 in 7 overs and Mehul Gokani of Lohana remained not out on superb 117 runs.

Friends United CC won the game by 20 runs and moved to 3rd in Division 3 table.
